You'd think the article might have mentioned how Dryden was the goalie for the perfect season in 1969-70. Some research they do up there in Montreal.

I think it has more to do with canadiens not reckonizing college hockey as anything of note.

It's a running joke. It seems that Cornell fans are the only ones who know that. Opposing fans, broadcasters, and the scoreboard trivia writers at the NCAA tournament always credit 1970 to Dryden. Josh was making fun of that, and included the winky at the end.

and once again I miss the joke full in the face. what's worse is that I knew that Dryden wasn't in net for that season, but then assumed that I was incorrect after reading the thread.
