Lynah video tutorial

Just found these interesting videos on youtube:

Part 1

Part 2

The English in the captions is a little interesting (calling Dave Nulle the "ice skating coach", us "the faithfuls" and lines as "teams";). But the video captures the essence of the current atmosphere and cheers at Lynah fairly well, as culled from clips of various games from the previous season. And yes, the quality even is a little better than All Access. Perhaps we could use this as a mandatory facetimer orientation tool in the fall.

It plays like the final project for some student's video-editing class. A student whose first language was not English. A student who never really understood the couple games he attended. A student who had all things Lynah explained to him by his stoned roommate. A student probably nicknamed Borat by his friends sometime last winter.

Yet amazingly, he got "goon" right instead of lose! Major props to the stoner roommates in that case.

I'm 30 seconds into the first one, and I already think this would be a bad training video, since it instructs you to show up for the game late! :-(

ETA: oh, okay, they do go back and do lineups etc.

Don't forget "The Big Reds".

I am a little frightened that you know Dave the Zambino Driver's full name, though. uhoh

And Bryon Bitz and Scriven.

Wasn't there someone a few months back soliciting information on the Lynah experience for some project? Could this have been it?

Well, obviously the stoner roommate took Dave Nulle's ice skating PE class. Thus the "ice skating coach", which is right if irrelevant.

Good memory! I'll bet it was. [elf.elynah.com]

I, for one, was entertained by the two videos. And I am not stoned. Kudos!

Actually, an engineering grad student, it would appear. One with too much time on his hands.
