Thanks,

I've been meaning to put up a table of numbers going back to '82 (when my records stop). I guess I have a motivation now.

Hi Greg,
Do you know Joe Nieuwendyk or Ken Dyden's numbers off hand?
Thanks,
Josh

Nieuwy was 25. I don't go back to Dryden (but if anybody finds a pic in a Cornell uni, I've always wanted one).

Dryden wore #1 at Cornell.

OK, I want to be really piggy. Does anyone have an in-action shot? (Blinks eyes alluringly).

This comes up periodically, and the answer seems to be that in those days, all the goalies wore #1.

True, but I guess I pictured him looking somewhat more intimidating or something.

With his pretzel mask he made the "chainsaw massacre" guy look like Harry Potter.

Greg,
I remember back when I was in school, my fraternity had old copies of the Cornellian in its library. There were pictures of Dryden in either the '68 or '69 edition.
At least one was his familiar "leaning on the end of his stick" position, but I don't recall whether there were real "action" shots.
While I don't have a copy, I beleive they keep copies in one of the libraries on campus.

Ken Dryden wrote the Hockey section in the 1969 Cornellian - which includes a picture of him leaning on his stick, watching the action at the other end of the rink.
