Great NC win for the ECAC! Well done, Green. :-D

If only Dartmouth can figure out how to win on the road...

Haha. This makes the Dartmouth @ Cornell game sooooo much better. I think Cornell is finally going to pull it out with a rowdy Lynah crowd behind them.

At this point in time, I'd rather play the HEA all stars than Dartmouth again.

worry worry worry

I hope the Green figure out how to win on the road... right after they remember how to lose to the Big Red.

Boucher seems to play up to the competition - and sometimes gets no respect.

First Star: Mike Ouellette (Dartmouth)
Second Star: Max Guimond (Dartmouth)
Third Star: Ryan Shannon (Boston College)

stars as listed on :

And these stars may be from one of the radio broadcasts as there are no stars listed for the Cornell games of the past weekend.

Boucher may have stopped 36 of 40 shots, but after the first one he let in, no way was he a star of the game - you don't let a soft dump in from the neutral zone hop your stick for one of the worst goals ever and finish as a star of the game.

Were you there Ben?

And I don't know if I agree. One sleeping moment does not determine the outcome as was seen in this game.

Since I wasn't there I am of course clueless as to whether he deserves star billing.

I was not there (1 month and counting til I'm back on campus), but even the BC radio guys were saying that was one of the worst goals that they've ever seen a goaltender allow.

Case in point - the famous Boucher incident a few years ago at Lynah. Say he had stopped 29 of 30 shots up to that point - would you still have given him a star after allowing a goal while attempting to taunt the student section?

Plus from what I heard, the shot totals were somewhat misleading - as Dartmouth's 17 shots were almost all from the slot or closer in, while many of BC's 40 shots were from the outside or otherwise not high-percentage areas. If there was a quality scoring chances stat, that would've been much closer than the SOG total.

Of course it's all moot by now, as Dartmouth continues to prove it can't win on the road after being shallacked by UMass 7-2. That's ok for now as all they have left before New Year's is an exhibition against the USDT and the Auld Lang Syne Tourney at Thompson, but after New Year's they play their first 4 on the road, including the North Country Trip and vs. UNH down in Manchester (which will be a hostile environment, even if Dartmouth is technically the home team).

It's ok with me if they still can't win on the road when they get to Lynah...
