To be fair, Davenport was about ready to completely drop trou looking for that puck that got lost in there on Saturday night.

It's club hockey...I play for the UCLA team, and USC has a reputation around our league for being a classless team. (Admittedly, there may be some bias there, but I know other teams have complained in the past, too.) It is kind of a funny incident and I'm sure it would have been hilarious to be there in person, but excuse me while I get a little righteous...
[joebuck]Our conference, the PAC-8, and the ACHA (the national club hockey organization) has been pushing for years to gain more legitimacy and even be considered a viable alternative to NCAA hockey (a lofty goal, to be sure). This kind of stunt is the only way some (most?) people will hear about ACHA teams, and it really sets back any progress that has been made. This is the kind of move that really belongs in the beer leagues, where everyone can have a good laugh about it without any harm being done. In this case, it's amusing, but it doesn't help ACHA schools and teams that want to bring in student athletes to play serious hockey.[/joebuck]

It's club hockey...
I figured it was a club team. I know they have a bunch of clubs down in S. Florida (saw them advertised at Everblades tournament a few years ago), but for some reason did not really expect it in S. California. I suppose if Gretzky could play there...
