Re: Quinnipiac at Cornell 11/22 - 13 days ago
BearLover Why is there no pep band at all? I'm watching on TV and noticed there wasn't the normal band music. I'm almost glad I didn't come up this weekend- it would have been my partner's first live game, and it really is't the same without the band. That said, it looks pretty full on TV and I'm happy to go into the 2nd tied after some bad turnovers. LGR!!!!by The Rancor - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Harvard 11/16 - 14 days ago
I went back and watched both weekend games, and yes, mistakes were made, team is not perfect. But it might be one of the most talented group of players I've seen on the ice from this school. Some of y'all seem to just love to hate the Big Red and I don't understand it.by The Rancor - Hockey

upprdeck 1/3 of the way up wouldnt be Omallays though thats like 1/2 half but perhaps close enough The Pines would be more like 1/8 up the lake if you can get to it from a boat oof the stairs from the bottom would be brutal! That said, there really isn't enough boat up dining on Cayuga, which TBH isn't a bad thing, not every lake has to be max developed.by The Rancor - John Spencer Is Dead

chimpfood If the amount of available seats is anything close to what it is now by game day I’m going to be hugely disappointed. We’ve been waiting for this series for four years and it’s a top 10 matchup that lynah hasn’t hosted any thing like in a long time. As a student I have seen literally no advertising for the game. We have no reason not to sell this weekend out. Get out the Vote (so to sby The Rancor - Hockey

Re: Indoor sports facility announced - 2 months ago
Ken711 Local Motion I am not sure why environmental protesters have concerns about turf that is indoors, because unless you have a retractable roof grass is not even an option. However, on the second outdoor field adjacent to the indoor facility as a former student-athlete they should plant grass and not install another turf field. Beeeej Jeff Hopkins '82 Al DeFlorio dbilmes Q just sent out an email today with a link to buy tickets. They say prices range from $49 to $235, The idea of a $235 ticket for a college hockey game boggles. I looked at the prices for the games in Arizona. They were at the high end of the range above. Ice is much more expensive out there. They have to import it from Canada.by The Rancor - Hockey

Re: 2024-25 MEN'S SCHEDULE - 4 months ago
billhoward scoop85 The "weakness" of the schedule is a reflection of our league as a whole. For our limited out of conference games, We know UND is a top 5-10 program coming into the season, UMASS is always a threat to make the NCAAs, and if we were to play ASU they are on the cusp of the top 20. While Sacred Heart aren't world beaters, they are one of the better Atlantic Hockey programby The Rancor - Hockey

RichH Beeeej Just got a message from Ticketmaster that Frozen Apple tickets go on sale tomorrow - Cornell vs. Quinnipiac. Ugh. I’d rather skip a year than this I agree. Really no other team could have been scheduled than one on our own conference? I'd have assumed this annual game is booked years out. What happened?by The Rancor - Hockey

Trotsky RichH David Harding Swampy The university should consider retiring Mike's jersey number, not because of his HOF achievements in the NHL but because of his extraordinary, lifelong contribution to Cornell Hockey. Totally agree on retiring his jersey number. They probably ought to let Jack O'Brien play his last two years trying to live up to the Schafer standard, then retire #3.by The Rancor - Hockey
