ugarte arugula That was fantastic. I drove my graduate home today, avoided the score and watched the game tonight. Almost as good as if it were hockey! Added bonus was that at the Government department graduation ceremony the Dean mispronounced Knust. Wyatt wasn’t there of course but a reminder of priorities. I feel very happy for the graduation and the lacrosse just makes it better. I’d loveby dag14 - Other Sports
Re: We will always be disappointed - 5 weeks ago
semsox I saw in the athletics notes before the game that this would not only be the first Lacrosse title since 77, but the first team championship in any sport for Cornell since then. Bask in it, because it doesn't come around often I am too lazy to look up the details but this is not entirely accurate unless you preface the statement with "NCAA" team championship. stereax Welcome to eLynah. We just won a national championship - the first time since my parents were born, almost - and before the day is done we're already complaining about the merch for the national champions. XD You made me laugh out loud. I also realized at some point today that while I have seen the FOUR Cornell national championship games, my two sons -- class of 2004 and 2009-- were nby dag14 - Other Sports
Re: Cornell vs. Albany 5/11 - NCAA Lacrosse First Round - 6 weeks ago
billhoward The rule about how many long sticks or wide nets applies to the whole field, not how many must be in the defensive half, so one more go on attack with a bigger stick isn't an infraction and anyway it's harder to shoot with long sticks or wide nets. IIRC, Albany circa 2100 (if not, then Stony Brook?) had a goalie so talented with stick-handling that on Albany man-ups, he played behiby dag14 - Other Sports

arugula arugula ER arugula Symmetry? My graduation weekend, 1987, we were playing on championship weekend. Couldn’t get to the game as I was busy, you know, graduating. Dear daughter is graduating next weekend, so I guess I’ll be missing the game(s) again. Priorities priorities. The tournament is always graduation weekend. They both fall the weekend of Memorial Day. Re: Memorial Day Weekend Lacrosse Ticket Strategies - 6 weeks ago
I just got an email from Cornell Athletics with this link to purchase tickets. Not sure who the mailing list is but it says first come, first served for seats in the Cornell section. Denver to Foxboro is a tough weekend trip so I will be cheering from afar. I envy those of you who can enjoy in person!by dag14 - Other Sports
Re: NCAA tournament: CU vs Richmond 5/19 - 6 weeks ago
Jim Hyla I'd love to see (hear) someone do a Post report. It seemed like half of Richmond's goals were hitting the post and in. The goalie is not supposed to save those. A silly mm off and those bounce out. So I don't think the save percentage was as bad as people were saying. Not a good day but it happens. I just hope it doesn't happen again next weekend. Any shot that is on goaby dag14 - Other Sports
Re: Ben Robertson transfer - 2 months ago
RichH stereax Anyway. I'm happy Robertson is going somewhere where he'll likely have better opportunities to show off his abilities and make it to the big leagues, and I wish him the best. Just not at Lynah I’m old enough to remember when this was the normal, standard response to such news. Or something along the lines of “well, that’s too bad. sah67 VIEWfromK Kempf begins his pro career with a secondary assist 2:30 into his first game. It’s also the Landeskog return game. Speaking of alums in the Colorado system: anyone know what’s going on Stienburg? Seems like he barely played at all in the AHL this season, although according to his stats page, he did play on 4/2, which was apparently his first game since early November. Injury?by dag14 - Hockey

chimpfood How on earth do you register on fanlax? I’ve tried to to make an account multiple times but the confirmation question says “Paul and Gary’s last name. 4 letters.” I’ve tried putting random stuff but it says invalid answer. I don’t think I’m a robot but I cannot decipher what that means This is hysterical! Not making fun of chimpfood; rather the notion that Gait is a magic password.by dag14 - Other Sports
