fastforward Beeeej Another Adam Wodon puff piece... I appreciated Shafer’s candor in this article Meanwhile Mike was overall pretty pleased (almost uncharacteristically so) with the way we played this weekend (from his weekly summary): “It certainly was great to be back in action, and even though I didn’t like Saturday night’s results, I am overall very happy with our team, and I feel wby jeff '84 - Hockey

Nice mention of Brian Hayward by Patrick Roy, talking about goalie tandems as he made a switch to Sorokin. Amidst a decision to change goalies during their first-round series against the Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders head coach Patrick Roy was reminded of an old analogy made by his former goaltending coach with the Montreal Canadiens, Francois Allaire, while texting with his dadby jeff '84 - Hockey

Larry72 underskill Is the 5 pm start time accurate? CHN says 730 So says Pierre! Pierre and now the USCHO game summary says that Saturday game is “set for Saturday at 5 pm EDT.” Everything else is still saying 7:30 puck drop. Maybe weather related time change? Edit - CHN is now saying 5:00 as well.by jeff '84 - Hockey

Pro Hockey in Small Town North Carolina Podcast - 1 year ago
Anyone looking for a cool hockey related (3 part) pretty crazy story for their podcast listening pleasure, I’d recommend searching for “The Mighty Bucks” (the podcast series is “Sports Explains the World” from Wondery.) It’s about a small town stove maker who knows nothing about hockey but ends up bringing minor league hockey to this town of 2,000 people in rural North Carolina. scoop85 104-94 with 3:31 left. Our offense has been excellent, but Miami has some high level talent and we’re giving up too many offensive boards. Entertaining game against a very good team. 107-104. :06 to go (but Miami at line)by jeff '84 - Other Sports

Denis Ladouceur, a Canadian and former COO at a Wall Street firm and transplanted New Yorker, felt as if the city was missing one main meeting place: a sports bar devoted to hockey fans. In December 2021, he opened The Canuck on Ninth Avenue in Chelsea to appeal to the legion of hockey fans in the New York area that follows the New York Rangers, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils as welby jeff '84 - Hockey

Iceberg toddlose Remember it was Quint who posited before the playoffs began that Cornell was not a team capable of a "deep run" in the playoffs. Fuck. That. Guy. Old Quint I'd probably seething on the inside from seeing Cornell at this point. I'm sure he's somewhere making as many ritual sacrifices as he can to avoid the worst to tomorrow I never thought he was blatantly anti-Coby jeff '84 - Other Sports

mike1960 AP was looking to score. He needs to get it to the attack and move off the field. He's winning the clamps but seems to anxious after he gets it. We'll come back and make this a game, but this is a deep hole obviously. That hole is 7-2, Orange.by jeff '84 - Other Sports
