If he doesn't land a head job, he'd make a fine defensive coach for someone.

The New York Times has a story Planning a college sports road trip? These are the 25 best stops worth making. Lynah is not on the list. #15 is Boston for the Beanpot. I'm posting here for this:

No. 17: Syracuse, N.Y.

March up from Marshall Street

A regular-season lacrosse game (men’s lacrosse)

The Orange hold the sport’s most national titles (10, though none since 2009), and JMA Wireless Dome (the former Carrier Dome) is considered the best atmosphere in college lacrosse. When the schedule comes out, check if Cornell or Johns Hopkins is coming to town.

Yeah, that’s a silly selection. You’d think Homewood would be the lacrosse venue of choice, or perhaps Navy.

Yeah, that's a pretty crazy statement. It's a football stadium, and they have to curtain off part of the arena for lacrosse.

Where do they curtain off the arena? You mean limit access to the upperdeck?

I think so. I realized after posting that I had the hockey-vs-football playing surface sizes in the back of my head. But I'm sure that when I went to the CU-SU game at the Dome in 2009, they had parts of the stands curtained off.

1) That’s a football field.
2) it just looks like the now gone West Stands, but maintained.

For a Division 3 school it's pretty nice, but not a dedicated lacrosse only facility.

They have it marked off for football but nobody cares. The school is serious about lacrosse (and baseball). It would only be the west stands if the west stands were (1) not condemned, and (2) 150% full of students who gave a shit.

It's Lynah for lacrosse. I mean if you prefer Conte, then sure, it's small.

We went snowshoeing in Allegany State Park a couple of years ago. On the way out we stopped for gas in the nearest town, Salamanca, which is actually on the Seneca (Onondowaga) reservation. Since it was shortly after recreational marijuana legalization, the ubiquitous smoke shops had become weed shops.

It seems like a stretch given that e.g., England, Scotland, and Wales have to play as Great Britain in sports where they otherwise play as separate nations, but I suppose the counterexample is that Puerto Rico has its own Olympic team.

I understand that they will play a six on six format, instead of the usual ten on ten. Smaller field, no long sticks, shorter play time.

Excellent. Difficult for poles to go over his head, Tall enough to see the field over the goaltender and cage when he's at X. Or can post him up 10 feet off the crease and send high feeds to drop down over the tender's shoulders. Gotta muscle him up in the weight room.

I can see a lot of passes from X hitting him on the cut for a beautiful high-to-low shot,

The Columbia student newspaper has an article about how a group of alums want to upgrade the men's lacrosse program from the club level to the Division I level. However, it appears there are a lot of obstacles in the way, including Title IX regulations about having an equal number of male and female athletes. Since Columbia already has a women's lacrosse team, it would have to figure out another way to add a men's team sport with dozens of athletes. Of course, the current administration may do away with Title IX in its pursuit of eliminating anything that is linked to DEI.
In the meantime, the club lacrosse team shares a practice field with the women's ultimate frisbee team. "We’re splitting the field for practices with girls’ frisbee, and because of that it’s always a safety hazard for them. It’s also hindering on us.”
