Period over...no score.
We looked much better in the last 6 minutes or so than we did in the first 14. Controlled the puck in the offensive zone, forced WI to ice it.
Whew, we did make some way sloppy plays in front of our own net that could easily have lead to WI goals. Some real heart stoppers (and some shouts of "What the hell?"

First 10 minutes, we were lucky to escape with a tie. Last five minutes, they were. Even when our offense was sloppy our D was punishing and the defenders don't give up on any plays.
Still, I'd like to see a bit more effort trying to hit teammates on the stick. The passing has been, shall we say, errant... Some great play out of McKee.
Biggest upset of the day can't happen in hockey after Connecticut lost to George Mason. GMU in the Final Four is a bigger shocker than HC 4, Goofers 3.

AFter the first 10 minutes, CU started playing their game: getting the hits, winning the battles along the board, and keeping the puck away from McKee. Also looked like some of the hits got the Wisco guys wanting to hit back...I like it.

Wow, they just said that McKee has raised $75k for people with learning disabilities (donated to the Racker Center) through his various efforts...including pledges for saves.
:36 to go in WI PP, 8:20 in period. Still scoreless

We are playing very well but does it seem that we are loosing the physical battle to anyone else? Wisconsin is taking our guys down much more

Midway through the second the shots were 6-6 in the period, and thus 16-10 for the game. Since then, it's been even. I'd guess about 18-12.

Got the webcast on...
Looks like Cornell is wearing down UW. Play seems to be very much in the UW end. Red need to get some shots on Elliot now.

lgr!
not sure how the hit on cam was not a penalty...... a hit on a player who is a few feet away from the boards = boarding
