ESPNU scheduled to show CU/OSU

On the bottom score ticker on ESPNU they are saying that they will be showing the Cornell - Ohio State game live at 6:00 pm Saturday

I would like to think that we would be able to get onto a wider distribution channel than Altitude Alternative... but looking at the ESPNU website this morning (Friday) it still doesnt have the Cornell game listed and has the Midwest Final on at 5:00pm. I would doubt they would bump the final for the 1st round game in another region... I would nt count on being able to see the whole game on ESPNU... most lilkely joining in Progress after the final (3rd period?) Here's hoping I am wrong

I have Directv with sports pack. I checked the schedule online at ESPN website and also at Directv website and I could not confirm this. When did you see this ticker? Is this a joke or for real?

I think its just a mistake.

An "RSNa" should magically appear on channel 657 or 658 carrying the game live.

As of right now, I don't get any other game besides Mercyhurst VS BC. All the sports channel in my Directv package are showing the same game. The sports pack is so useless.

Try channel 644 -I've got Colgate-CC

Are you sure about that? First, there's only two games going on, this isnt' the 64 teams in basketball. 16 teams, 8 play today. 4 now, 4 later. So 2 games now, 2 games later.

Plus there are plenty channels not showing NCAA hockey?

Besides, if all the channels showing hockey *were* showing the same game, that's the channel's fault for programming choices, not DirecTV's.

I flipped back and forth between CC-gate on 642 (FSNorth-Wisconsin feed) and BC-Mercyhurst on 609 (ESPNU). I went out and missed the late games, but I believe they were both supposed to be shown live on different RSNs.

If you can't find a game, you might want to check in with the IRC chat or start a thread with a title like "Where is CC-Colgate on DirecTV??"

Oat, you're not cursed. The only channel that matters for tonight's game is 658. If you're a home subscriber to DirecTV, and you get the "Sports Pack," then you should be good to go. The game is part of Altitude's "alternate" programming tonight -- which for tonight is on DirecTV channel 658. It will NOT show up on any schedule. Channel 658 will likely be BLANK until the game starts.

One can never be certain, but I'm confident that the CU game will NOT be on ESPNU unless the network joins the game "in progress" near the end.

In Ithaca, of course, you can get the game on good old-fashioned cable (Time Warner ch 26).

It also won't be listed on the program grid until shortly before the game. That's how it worked with 642 (the RSNa for the Wisconsin feed of FSNorth).

USCHO's schedule lists the Hahvahd/UHN game on Altitude, while the on-screen guide says it's Maine-Minnesota. So I'm assuming 648 will appear in time for the Hahvahd game at 15:30 EST. So we'll have a warning with that.

It won't be live on ESPNU; they are showing it tape-delayed at some silly hour.

Right, the Regional Sport Network alternates don't have a schedule show up, cause they're just temporary holding channels which show random different feeds at different times. Even when they do have into, its often wrong.

Want to test? The Harvard/UNH game should be on 658 today before our game. Warning: do not be afraid, 658 went back to the DirecTV logo last night between games. If it does so after the Harvard/UNH game, that is not a reason to panic.
