Hey Ari, you may be my kid, but I have to disagree with your predicted ECACHL finish. I think St Lawrence will finish 2nd to Cornell in the regular ECACHL. Time will tell and the only standings that count is the one at the end! LGR!

Actually, Clarkson at 11th was what struck me most about it. Out of 11 goals Clarkson hung on us in the playoff series last year, only 2 were scored by guys who graduated.

I still think Colgate is overrated this season. But I'm pretty sure I'm still in the minority there.

Ari, my biggest question is how different are these picks from what you would've said a month ago? Are you giving SLU (and maybe Vermont) too much credit for a good start out of conference? Just curious.

With all this work you're carrying what, eight, ten credits? Don't tell me you're pre-med or something.

I definitely factored in how teams did in non-conference play to my predictions.
The last few seasons, there has been huge standings turnover. Every year, a couple teams make big jumps and big falls. I can't stand the coach's polls because they never reflect the possibility of drastic change in the standings, even though there are drastic changes every year. Look at Colgate, RPI, and Yale last year compared to 02-03.

ILR sophomore taking 16 credits.
This week's only took me about 90 minutes.

Well at least that gave you plenty of time to devote to the hockey column![]()
