This is the first Game 3 in Lynah history. Let's Go Red!

Here's hoping Friday night wasn't Vesce's last game as a member of the Big Red.

Clarkson's at full strength. They still suck.

Offsetting penalties, and we are at 4x4. ~15 mins left.

And now 4x3 as one of the Abbotts gets called for holding the stick.

Blight scores early in the 4x3. Clarkson moved the puck very well. Tight triangle didn't work.

Am I nuts or are the Clarkson point guys getting much closer to the net on their power play than we are?

Great. You can always rely on Cornell fans to bolt a hockey game for a Guster concert, even though Guster blows...wish I got into Duke so I could be around real fans.

Coming out looking terrible in a do or die Game 3...Not a good indicator of how ready these guys were for tonight, maybe stayed out too late last night.

Well, we came out riding high, but have dropped off. They really miss Vesce.

Funny, my daughter's at Duke but home on spring break. We went to the Harvard -Brown game last night and she said to me "Dad, this feels like more like college than basketball at Duke". And that at half full Brown rink.

But I was dragging her to the Garden and Bright since she was 8, so I guess it's all what you're used to.

Personally I think it's better that you get the "facetimer" fans outta there. You're left with more of the true ones that'll hopefully be rewarded tonight

I agree with the guy that said UNH stepped it up without Gare last year in the FROZEN FOUR (of all places to step up)...No excuses for our guys tonight,if they play with enough intensity they can still defeat this Clarkson team.

Seems that every time we blow a power play chance, Murphy blows the whistle right back in their favor. Anyone else notice this? Its like Murphy is trying to alternate power plays for the hell of it.

Shots 12-6 Clarkson in 2nd period.

And the pp looked good for about 20 seconds. I can't believe how inept the guys look tonight. Clarkson looks faster and more aggressive. Their passing is crisp and creative, while we seem to just fling the puck around at random.

The PP was awful last night with Pegoraro. Mike put Salmela in as a seventh d-man just for the PP. That, unfortunately, means he doesn't have four full lines playing.

[/Q]Salmela has a heavy shot from the point. Not that we ever get the puck to the point. Or that he bothers to shoot when he gets it. Or that anyone is in position for rebounds.

This is an old school ass-kicking and we have 20 minutes to turn it around.

BRA, I agree wholeheartedly with you and Adam. It's too bad we're down 2-0, but Cornell has just played like crap the last 5 periods, and indeed deserves to be losing at this point, no matter how much we might not like it.

I *knew* this weekend wasn't going to be a cakewalk: during my time on the Hill (94-98), Clarkson was our *real* rival, being the one team that could consistently give us a hard time without it being some kind of karmic retribution (e.g., with Union). I must admit, even with the loss last night and them losing right now, I am enjoying this weekend much more than some I've watched over the past year. Maybe it's just nostalgia.

It's not that he has disappeared, it's that Clarkson has keyed in on him.

Clarkson's on a mission -- we need to have the same jump, and I'm afraid we're also going to need to get the breaks. But it can certainly be done. 2 goals leads aren't unassailable -- just ask Yale.

Thought they were complaining about a no-call on Cornell.

He was hit pretty hard by the point shot.

Think of it this way. If they come back and win, it will be one of the great efforts of all time.
