I think the naming of the period following a goal has been something that's been going on for a while now.
I've noticed that the feed sometimes is delayed depending on your bandwidth and so I'll be messaging with someone and hear about goals etc. before they do.

The naming of the period has been happening more or less since I've been here, but not everyone does it, so it's not as loud.

Yeah but if Carolina gets the ball, it doesnt take much to get a FG and win. I would at least take a shot or two for the TD instead of risking a loss in OT.

Cheers,

Carolina makes the FG, but gets delay on game. Tries for 2 more downs to gain ground but cant. Casey misses the 45 yd FG, hooks to the right after looking like it would be good.

Wilkins short on a 53 yarder, still tied.
End of 2nd, 1-1, Cornell sounding better than Brown.

Yeah
on another note:
"them being ranked ninth in the country, there always seems to be extra words to the officials for Cornell..." (or something to that effect)....
we should start collecting quotes from all the stupid stupid shit the Brown announcers say.

"they [Princeton] have a good goaltender" - brown announcer 1
"all that's all you need to keep you in the game" (not exact quote) - brown announcer 2
yeah, your team has been perfect example of that truth for the past few years.

ah, that's great. the announcers were trying to joke about when they'll start putting on their makeup for a tv broadcast they have to do (brown v. uconn), and generally how they've been told they have "radio faces."

To go slightly off-topic:
What's up with Clarkson? When I was a student (94-98), Clarkson was our biggest rivalry in the sense that they were the biggest competition for us. They seem to have completely dropped off the radar the past few years, coincidentally with the disappearance of the Clarkson Hockey Roundtable (ah, memories...). Anyone have any insight into this?
Cheers,
Kyle

Bulger threw another INT. And the Panther OL apparently hates Delhomme.

Thanks Kyle, I'll try that. I don't like the latest mplayer, I've still got v6.4, and I see there's an option to increase buffer, but I've probably got to reconnect to have it take effect, and I'm afraid to try that. I might though.
