Yeah, I am no fan of the buses either, but living near the last stop on the Green 'B' line I have a strong distast for that as well.  Probably worth a cab ride over taking public transportation... it would be about 2 miles from Harvard by car, not sure what that is as a cab fare

Cornell95

Found this, probably still fairly accurate (there was a 50cent increase this past year which I dont know if this includes)

The fare structure: The first 1/4 mile (when the flag drops) costs $1.75, and each additional 1/8 mile is 30ยข.

All together you are looking at $6.50-$7.50 from Harvard Square (each way), so more than $10 and less than $15 for the evening.  If you had a few people it might be worth it, and if it is cold and/or raining definitely worth it

Yeah it looks like you have to call a number instead of doing it online.
I'm probably going to the Riviera again for anyone that either lives downtown or loathes the UES.
Where's that?  (Asks someone who lives downtown and, while he doesn't loathe the UES, finds it a pain to travel to.)

Edit:  Never mind, that place is two blocks from me, I just forgot the name.  How good are they at giving people a TV for obscure games like this?

I'll be there with my Dad!  Has anyone checked with SOF to see if we can get the back room?

They were pretty good about it when I lived down there, as long as I gave them a couple days' notice and tried to bring more than one or two people.  And the service is a damn site better than at Ship of Fools.

I was hoping we could consolidate Cornell fans together...if people would prefer the Riviera, then let's forget about Ship of Fools.  I nearly killed a waitress last year at Ship of Fools while jumping out of my chair after Iggy's short handed goal so maybe it is better to head Downtown...

I was just hoping we could all pick one place and pack as many of us in there as possible.

I'm working on it, Neil. Stay tuned, Philly folks.

See you on the 18th.

I have never had a problem walking into Riviera (without calling ahead) and getting a TV over the bar, even when it is crowded.

PinkyGen

Having been to neither place, am not that attatched. Plus, downtown is closer to me.
