I didn't see this already posted.  TSN.ca had the following from Doug Murray at the end of their "Backchecking Report" yesterday:

"I knew who was coming.  He's obviously one of their top gunners. I try to hit anyone out there but especially a guy like that, if you get the chance, you take it." - Sharks D Doug Murray after a big hit on Ilya Kovalchuk

i saw it. IIRC, it was his first shift of the night. he was behind the net and he made a play on the puck to a teammate. he followed up that play with the oh so memorable Murray-style of finishing someone else’s check. he absolutely leveled Kovalchuk. very nice to see some things haven't changed.
