Am I reading correctly that the NY Yankees new cable station, the YES Network is airing the Cornell-NH game on Sunday at 3:30?

That is so exciting!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually they are airing UNH against the winner of CU vs. Quinnipiac, which will hopefully be Cornell ;-)   YES will also be broadcasting the Western regionals on Friday and Saturday evening if you are interested.

Unfortunately for those of us in Ithaca, TWC isn't adding YES to its cable lineup until next Tuesday. :-(

At least you are getting the YES Network in time for the baseball season.  My sister is SOL because of the Cablevision/YES Network squabble.

Hey, check it out. DirecTV channel 622. Heh. When did that happen? TiVo hasn't noticed yet :-)

Ithaca TW Cable says that they will air the second game (should CU win) on Channel 74.  This was said on NewsCenter 7 this evening.

I spoke with a TWC representative today, and he said they were beginning to carry the YES network tomorrow.

Although their website does say it begins the 26th.

Either way, it should be interesting to see Fatso and Fruitloops on TV.

Unfortunately, the Cornell game has to be shown on yet another extension of the Evil Empire

They are now going to be simulcast on the YES network.

Thats "Mike and the Mad Dog" for those who must know.

Also known as Mike Francesa and Chris Russo...they should be "taken in small doses" only! :-D

Agreed.  When "the Amazin" co hosted "Sports Extra" on Sunday nights which started in the early 70s on Ch 5 in New York...I think it was the first true sports news show...it was like manna from heaven.

He's not everybody's taste but I found him to be a great storyy teller and very knowledgeable as well.  He captured very well the human side of sports without being sappy about it.

Do any of these guys do that now ?

Al DeFlorio

He had an evening commute call-in radio show back in the mid-60s in NYC, IIRC.  People would try to "stump" him with questions--and rarely succeeded.  Nice, kind man.  Knew just about everything about sports.

About 12 yrs ago Cablevision did the same shit with MSG network, causing us to miss an entire season of the Knicks.
