Hynes draws a penalty going after a rebound and so Cornell is back on the pp, already having territorial advantage.  Good time for a cash-in.

Greg Berge

Pokulok and Sawada with a pair of good chances.

Great McKee save shorthanded on Swan.  30 second difference between end of CU penalty and period.  Another great turnover force by Brady but McKee a big save (again).

Even strength, each team 0x2 on pp.  Union scores in the final seconds of the period.

Why so quiet?  What's happening out there?  The suspense is killing me!

Still 1-0 with 8 minutes left in second.  Union outshooting us 17-14.  Why this team can't score is a mystery to me.

Shots through 2 periods: 20-17 Union

Pegoraro is 11-1 on faceoffs, and Chris Abbott is 9-3.

So, after two periods we have a very good game.  Apparently Union has gotten their act together; if anything, they are outplaying the Red for long stretches of the game.  Moulson's goal sounds like it may have been a rebound deflection... it came only a minute after Mayotte stoned him solid with a point blank chance.

50/50 proposition as we go to the third.  Get somebody in front of Mayotte -- we aint gonna beat him with any first shots.

it probably doesn't mean anything....but according to gametracker -- Chabot is listed as the #2 goaltender. Is there anything to read into here?  Or have he and Davenport been swapped around all season?
