Um - don't you mean "Yale men?"

Shorts,

The photos are from a different angle but they were taken at almost the exact same time.  Look at the ref in the lower left hand corner walking up field.  He is at the 34 or 35 in both pictures.  Also, look at the huddle at mid field and the other ref on the right hand side of the field.  The harvardsucks picture was most likely touched up but it makes sense that it would be--they are selling it.

Fun prank either way.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned the older fans in the film: specifically the old man in the hat:

"What do you think of Yale?"
"They don't think good!"   :-P

Serves me right for trying to be insightful on four hours sleep. It was hard enough as an undergrad. Yes, Yale getting an incomplete on the prank and trying to optimize the result via retouching. Photoshop is so much better than Spot Tone retouching fluid.

As an RPI fan, I have been following the Vernon Vipers (BCHL) because RPI recruit Kurtis Colling is playing on the team. Note the last line in this article in the Vernon Morning Star http://www.vernonmorningstar.com/portals-code/list.cgi?paper=35&cat=40&id=342138&more= [Q]blueliner Reed Kipp is talking with Harvard Crimson Tide. There is now an audio goodie on the web site:

http://www.harvardsucks.org/

The audio link:  NEW! Listen to "Harvard Sucks" the song must be clicked from the page marked above.

And for fun try this:

"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Judging from the positions of people on the field, they're not taken from exactly the same time/angle, but it's pretty close.  It seems to me that the harvardsucks.org one is much more legible than the YDN one.  Also, it seems that the last frames of the video look remarkably like the YDN photo.

My conclusion: either the person taking the video decided to stop rolling just before the picture got good, and the YDN photographer missed that moment as well, or the hardvardsucks.org still image is a little doctored.[/q]Seems like, in addition, the picture on harvardsucks.org might reasonably be the one that would turn out the "best" because the photographer affiliated with that website likely knew about this in advance, lined up a good shot, knew all along what he was looking at, and thus knew when was the best time to take the picture.

Of course, safetyschool.org was registered by Paul Gusmorino (pag3@post.harvard.edu) in Nov 2000 and pointed at www.yale.edu. And it doesn't expire until 2008.

http://www.whois.net/whois.cgi2?d=safetyschool.org

Whereas the Yalies were smart enough to register via a 3rd party but only paid through 2005.
