Everblades in Hartford, CT

So I am working in Hartford this winter and need a Cornell hockey fix on Saturday. I think I am going to try to go to Sliders Sports Bar in Plainville for the game and see if I can watch it there. Is there a different place a group of people plans on meeting?

EDIT: BTW, anyone planning on going to Springfield v Wolfpack games on Friday 26 @ Springfield, or Wed 31 @ Hartford? Just curious if there will be a Cornell contingency around.

Yo, I live in Tolland County and I'm thinking about going up to Springfield tomorrow for the game, not sure yet. I'll definitely go to the game in Hartford next week. Sadly I won't be around for the Everblades games, damn family parties, but good luck with that gathering.

Unfortunately, I have to work on Saturday until 6, but if I can get out of work early, will the game be shown at Sliders? I'll be coming from Bristol, so I could make it for the end of the game even if I have to leave work at 6.

And, knock on wood, should the Red manage the unthinkable and win in Florida on Saturday, would anyone be watching the game on Sunday? Would any place even show the game on a Sunday considering the football that'll be on tv?

I don't know if they'll be showing the game at Sliders or not but I plan on showing up with some buddies and asking for it. Sunday is probably doubtful with football.

BTW: Jean-Marc Pelletier played some good hockey for the Falcons tonight. Both goals scored on him were awesome non-selfish plays by the Wolf Pack that he couldn't stop. He had 2 great saves in a row at the end of the game on a breakaway to keep them close but to no avail.

Had I known about this earlier, I'd have been all over it -- but I told some other friends I'd hang out with them at Finnigan's in Simsbury (on Rt. 10) ... if anyone's interested, that's where I'll be... and I'll be sure to ask them to put it on the TV!

To answer your edit: I'd be up for that. I heard a rumor they're playing another game tomorrow (Sunday 12/28) -- any truth to that?

Sliders was all football fans for the Pats game so I am home listening to the game. We'll see what we can find tomorrow. Please let me know how Finnigan's turned out. Thanks,

Was able to listen to the game, but with no picture. Still very happy about the outcome, though!

Maybe we can overtake some random bar tomorrow... what do you say? :-D

I'd be for that, especially considering the Eagles are playing tonight. But I doubt very much that any bar will surrender even one TV for hockey in the face of the final day of the NFL regular season. If you find one though, let me know, since this could be the last chance I get to see the Red in a while (unless I manage to get a ticket for the Harvard game...anyone? anyone?)

Federal Cafe in Hartford has something like 13 TVs... maybe we can convince them to give us one in a corner. Besides, the game's at 430. Do you think many people will be in a bar drinking at that time?

How about this -- I'll call some bars in the Hartford area, you do the same, and we'll find somewhere that can actually receive the broadcast, rather than just the audio feed. Deal?

I'd be up for watching the game somwhere. I don't know many places but I called Diamond Pub and Grill in Glastonbury, they only had nfl sunday package so that's what they will be all about tomorrow. I assume Sliders is going to be the same exact thing tomorrow. Don't know any other places. (not from here) If I find a place by 4:30 tomorrow I'll post it here.

Awww Boston... Fair city and with me having nothing better to do tomorrow and a gauranteed game at McGann's tomorrow afternoon, I believe I will be there with my Hornby jersey on. LGR!
