Everyone seemed to be really scared to get thrown out. A bunch saved their fish til the end, and the idiots with the bottles joined in too. I think I also may have seen some ladies' undergarments thrown, but I'm definitely not positive. I didn't even get frisked, after working really hard to flatten out the octopii in my shoes. Once again it was empty threats, and there was no penalty. Hopefully the fish throwing will make a comeback next year. I'm hoping to catch my own to throw next season.

A victory over Hahvahd (sucks) at Lynah and UNH losing to an ECAC team on the same night.  :-D   Life just got a little bit better. :-)

And an inflated GPA!;-)

"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Brown out-shot 80-39 this weekend. ::worry::

My thoughts on the game (I should start a show :-D ):
- Even with the relatively low shots on goal totals, both goalies were at their best tonight.  Lucky for us that Hyphen decided to let one get by him. :-D
- The facetimers (the actual ones, not those called as such by "Facetimer") were out in full force tonight.  While I have no problem repeating "Hahvahd sucks" on a message board like this, hearing that cheer over and over and over again at the game was somewhat annoying.
- I'm proud of myself for doing "Hey Grumet-Morris!  Last year's ECAC championship game called!  It said YOU SUCK!"  Even if most people really didn't understand what I said, I still think it was clever. :-)
- I say keep starting the Hornby-Abbott-Abbott line, they keep the pressure on well.  I almost wish we could fit Hynes into that line, though, because he was everywhere.
- Gleed and Cook, both A+...and without grade inflation. :-P
- Kotyra's officiating could've used some work, but I'll say that for most refs.
- I swear, after people started taking out their keys in the final minute of play, I thought, "We're about to get spanked."  Thank Zod the true Faithful were able to start chanting "No keys, no keys, no keys..." to get through to the facetimers.
- There were a lot of toys at tonight's game.  A bunch were thrown onto the ice (mostly Nemo, as suggested by Athletics, and other assorted fish), but there was also a bin at at least one of the entrances for additional, possibly easily-breakable toys as well.  Good job by all who helped out there.

Is next year here yet?

Section A

That game was intensely satisfying.

I agree about starting the Hornby-Abbotts line; in addition to the energy they usually have, they play smart too. And they cycle the puck well (especially Chris and Cam, both of whom seem to just know where the other will be), which leads to several scoring opportunities.

McKee was good tonight, obviously, but so was G-M, who made the most spectacular saves of the night (a couple windmills and a stop on Cam Abbott coming in 1 on 0 shorthanded). He didn't have much of a chance on the PPG. It was nice that Hynes' hard work paid off with a goal. He was all over the place this entire weekend, as were Knoepfli, Gleed, and Cam Abbott. I also thought Pegoraro played much better tonight than he did in the first few games of the season.

I hope Lynah will be as electric after winter break as it was tonight :)

I thought the same thing - not only were there very few fish thrown, but the real fish/Swedish fish etc. ratio was lower than I've every seen it. As far as the cops with eager hands, neither I nor my bag were searched. Went through a whole fuss hiding the octopus for nothing.

Think this weekend is enough to put us back into the top 15?

Given that BU lost their only game this weekend, while Notre Dame was swept by WMU, we should be making another apperance in the top 15. All I care about was that we played good solid hockey this week. Great weekend.

Works for me :)

...I must say, I had fun informing a fellow cast member (who went to Sucks) that we beat them tonight...
