What exactly are the "old" Hahvahd-specific cheers?

Oh, and by the way, Hahvahd still sucks.

I thought that was one of the more creative cheers I heard at last years Harvard game.[/Q]

ahh..ok...I know who this mike is now.  You were in Section A last year, correct?  Over in B we affectionately referred to you as hockey geek (at least the group I was with), though I'm not sure where that came from.

A very good cheer.

I loved:

"Gimme an 'A'!" "A!"
"Gimme an 'A'!" "A!"
"Gimme an 'A'!" "A!"
"What's that spell?"
"Hahvahd!!!"

at Albany.  An instant classic.  My Harvard co-workers even appreciate it, whilst grinding their teeth.

Actually, the "Welcome to Harvard" cheer has been around at least since the 2001-2002 season (the last time I made it to a Cornell-Harvard game; actually the last three times ;-)).

yep, this is my 4th year in section a, right on the aisle. "hockey geek?" at least it's affectionate.

john whelan is correct, we've been doing that cheer since my sophomore year. it makes one hell of a great sign or saying, and causes limitless trademark infringement problems with potential t-shirt design, as mr hyla can attest to.

[Q]You're assuming that everybody has a friend at Hahvahd - which, from reading dss28's posts, I infer that he does not.

Beeeej[/Q]

Pssst.... she.  I'm a she.  ;-)

And oh yeah... Hahvahd SUCKS!

Beeeej

Well, I can't always infer everything right.  :-D

And not everyone at Harvard has a friend.  Take my former boss for instance.  He sucked.  And for that matter, Hahvahd sucks.

Anybody traveling from the NYC/LI area for this weekend?

I'm looking for either a ride, or just a carpool "buddy" (with myself being the driver). So I'm flexible, with the main goal being getting to Ithaca sometime on Friday evening or early Saturday.

Let me know...thanks!

dss28

Jordan,

I'm in Hartford, and ordinarily I'd be up for being a carpool buddy, but I can't go up this weekend, unfortunately.

But feel free to keep me in mind for future trips :-)

Bump.

Oh, and Harvard sucks.
