So Merrimack was wrong? Updating.

I wonder if it's possible that Merrimack is lined up for an exhibition game?

Merrimack bailed out on the game for unclear reasons that didn't make anyone happy. So I doubt they're scheduled for anything at the moment.
So RIT is basically pinch hitting?

Was Merrimack scheduled at Colgate on Dec 4 too?

No it's been RIT at Colgate on that date for awhile.

Hrm. That's even stranger then. I mean, I guess RIT is close enough that you don't necessarily have to bundle.

Did they have any game scheduled on that Dec 5 slot before? I assume not, but...

I'd heard UMass was supposed to join BU in playing both teams but that obviously fell apart awhile ago.

Therefore, I did the only conscionable thing.

No longer will the masses have to wait painstakingly as I search my Discord backlog while keeping an eye on the play to find the ultimate truth that, well...

:)

(Q&A: "You use DDG browser?" Yes. "You use Yandex keyboard?" Yes. "What were you reading?" Tkachuk trade grades. "What is wrong with you?" Many, many things. 🥰)
Happy birthday to someone who I've heard is pretty good at hockey, as per Cornell's Instagram posting :)

Has anyone heard if there is a Racker or Alumni game this summer?  All of my Internet searches just talk about last year's game.  Thanks

I haven't heard anything yet, but if there is one and I can physically get in I'll be there 😂

July means only 3.5 months until Cornell hockey is back.

About 2 for NHL hockey, for the curious.

Real dog days of the offseason coming up, after free agency and all.

Maine announced a 33 game schedule last week.

Bangor Daily News notes that the 34th game is the as of yet unannounced game at MSG.

Yep, sounds like it's Maine for sure, but I'm not confirming it in our schedule until Maine or Cornell does.

I also did mark the doubleheaders with the women's team (that we know of). If you're planning to come to the men's game that day, would highly recommend doubleheading it. Heck of a good time.

Always use protection when doubleheading it!

Got the official notice today from Racker that there will not be a game this year. The plan going forward is to play a game every odd year, and have some other type of fundraising event in even years. This year's event is called "Racker's Day in the Park", scheduled for Saturday, August 29 from noon to 3pm at Stewart Park.

• Appearances by Cornell Big Red hockey teams
• Live music
• Free carousel rides
• A sensory pathway and inclusive, mission-focused activities for all ages
• Community connection, fun, and a big impact for people with disabilities and their families

"Puck drop set for noon" so they hate me personally, okay 👍

Being facetious. Mostly.

Puck drop at 12, doors open at 11. Means I have to be in NYC by like, 9 am, and leave my stuff somewhere... so that means I have to come in on the 27th and leave the 28th... but that IS the Calgary game... so maybe try to get cheap seats for that (LMAO it's MSG let's be real here) and leave the 29th? But that's two nights in a hotel, which is a lot of money I don't exactly need to be spending, especially because hotels run $150 minimum... and then the bus TO NYC is cheap ($25) but the one back is like $65, so we're at $400 already, and then tickets, and then feeding and watering and such... gaaah.

Guh. I'll have to think about this way more in depth.

25-30 years ago, Shortline/CoachUSA used to offer an Ithaca-NYC bus that left around 4:30am and got into Port Authority sometime around 9-10am.  It was a great way to do a full day in the city without an overnight stay anywhere.  Sadly, I don't think they run this schedule anymore.
Is next year here yet?
