Pretty strong stuff here:

Cornell's taken a lot from us over the years, and there's a lot of rage built in us from that,"  Palumbo said. "And there's nothing more we wanted [than] to see Cornell. We've wanted it all season since we lost to them the first time. And when this group comes out, you're gonna see a ferocity that frankly I don't think we've seen all year."

If the team comes out with the ferocity that we saw Friday, we'll be fine.

One hopes Princetonians who go into finance /invesment banking, or lesser puruits such as global hegemony, should remember not to energize one's opponent.

I agree.  Cornell's defense is playing at a high level and that is without Lohnes at close defense.  A comment on Quint Kessinich who was mentioned on Fanlax. I think he does a great of analysis on his calls and I detect no animus from him per Cornell. However don't get me startedon Anish and Carc-the SU frat bros (LOL!!)

yeah folks can be touchy about Quint.
TBH despite doing his weekly rankings, I am not sure how much Ivy League play he is watching week to week. My read is that he has some confirmation bias to keep running with his early season picks (eg. Princeton) and he tends to hyperbole to reinforce the teams he thinks will be playing Memorial Day

Yesterday he talking up Princeton and the ACC teams and being a bit dismissive of the other teams in the mix (Richmond and Cornell noteably). Later in the broadcast though he was voicing that there were 8-10 teams this year that could win it all and no Maryland 2022 or Cornell 2025 team

If we dont feed our grudges in sports, what's the point of being a fan, particularly of the underdog =P

He has his biases, and tends to dismiss "lesser" (in his mind) teams.

I always remember at the tournament in '09 as we were beating up on UVa, a bunch of lax alumni got a cheer going:  "Suck it, Quint!...clap, clap, clap, clap, clap...Suck it, Quint!"

In other news, I'm watching the Big 10 final on Big 10 Network right now.  Joe Beninati and Mark Dixon are the announcers.  They're actually describing the play-by-play on the field and talking about the two teams and the players actually playing the game.  They're not talking about dinner, other teams, tournament seedings, or their own memories and histories.  It's actually enjoyable to watch.

BTW, Penn State is smacking down Hopkins, 14-7 with about 5 minutes left.

Q is better than he used to be. That is what I will say.

That's fair.

It may be the case that he is critical/honest about all teams where most commentators shy away from criticism, and we only notice it when he's talking about Cornell. He was very critical of Harvard yesterday also.

Yep. Many Hopkins fans are convinced that Quint (a Hopkins alum) hates Hopkins ... :o

I've been running some RPI scenarios. Cornell fans should be rooting for UVa in the ACC final.
