Billy Chabot, Lax '23, before the game:

Freezing and raining sideways in Ithaca. Rain boots on the ground. Advantage Red

Sean Donaldson (Hockey '26), after the game:

The rain did not stop us. I'll leave it at that

Suffice it to say, eyes were on the lacrosse team today :)

I don't love Cornell having to play these guys again in less than a week but I think Cornell locked up a NCAA bid today--the ILT will be all about improving seeding (and of course, a tournament championship, on top of a regular season championship in this league this year would be a huge accomplishment.)
We looked like the better team all day. It will be a really good game, but I expect it will look the same on Friday.

One sec!

11-9!!!

Thanks!

Shows how long it has been since I saw a game live in Ithaca — there were bleachers the whole length of the press box.  I knew they came out but I didn't realize there was any seating on that side.  Who has access to the mini-bleachers?

I think that's the "field level seating".

I miss the west stands, I would occasionally watch lacrosse games from the there. At that time the teams were on the west sidelines and you could hear coaches and players quite clearly.
Saw the only National Championship game ever played in Schoelkopf, 1980 ('81?) Hopkins beat Virginia in OT.

upprdeck

Best thing about the west stands were those evening game on occasion where you didnt have to stare into the setting sun all game.

I have fond memories of sitting in those stands and hearing the Star Spangled Banner played on a violin.

Not sure what's more of an embarrassment:  Having no west stands, or having those.

Don't let your eyes deceive you. Those aren't a single set of embarrassing bleachers. They are Field Level Seating with available concessions.

And nothing would almost certainly be better.

It was 1980.  I was taking my "co-op summer" courses so I was still on campus.

I'd always sit in the west stands, for football, lax, and soccer.  Nobody sat in the Crescent.

Most embarrassing: no bathrooms for the High Point game. I had to tell some HP fans/parents that they had to use the outhouse.

I do love the look of handrail rust drip on the Crescent on live TV.
