Hey, I stayed until the last player was off the ice!!!

But yeah. Unfortunately, we got out at like... 10:30 PM. Not everyone is gonna stay an hour(ish) after the game ends for a ceremony, especially if they're not diehard fans.

I'm just shocked at how much worse this has gotten...attendance and fan energy were already trending downwards when I matriculated, but in those days almost no one in B left, most of A and D stayed, etc. This is embarrassing

Part of it is because this was people's second or third sporting event today, part of it is because this years seniors didn't make a big impact, and part of it is because the kids these days suck. The sky isn't falling. We should be in for an at large bid. You can choose if you want to be but I'm very satisfied.

I triple headed mlax-whockey-mhockey, lmao. This is my fifth sporting event this weekend and I'm probably gonna try to catch the IHS final if I can figure out where it is and how to get there...

Dear Clarkson Band,

Thank you for making the long trip, now feel free to take this intermission off.

The piped in music is even more ridiculous when there are two bands there.

Were there also Winter Formals or something?  The band were in dress clothes.

Quote from: RichH on February 28, 2026, 09:08:32 PMDuring this rough patch the last few weeks, we've seen a lot more "individual efforts" and fewer setup & passing plays for our scoring.

Stanley right there. Ryan skated in while the rest of the team stood behind. Even the Fisher goal taken away was a result of some Puck Hero moves.

I'm not saying I don't appreciate the efforts or any offense we can get, but it's been slowly eating at me that we aren't seeing as much of the clean passing plays that marked the first half. Better teams will bottle that solo shit up.

Did you want Ryan to do a drop pass on his goal?  Or should Fisher have passed up a clear lane to the net?  This season has mostly been about guys taking what they were given and not trying to force plays (until recently).  I've seen enough attempted passes through three players when the better option was to shoot.  The botched defensive assignments that lead to those golden opportunities are likely to dry up starting in Lake Placid but until then please keep making the play in front of you.

Wtf

This is shocking.
Given your handle I'm sure you can vouch for the fact that things were not anywhere near this bad in 2014. Embarrassing for the fans, the seniors, the families of the seniors, the rest of the team, the coaches. Just a horrible look.

I don't think expecting a large portion of the crowd to still be there that late is reasonable.  The game (that didn't even go to OT) didn't end until 940.  We have only left before senior night once (when our youngster was a toddler) but we also usually have a personal connection to at least a couple of the guys out there (bring back Skate with the Big Red please!).  We have long established that the atmosphere "ain't what it used to be" but I would bet that what takes place during that ceremony doesn't hinge on how many people are left in the stands.  Those guys are dealing with a ton of emotions and their teammates and support staff and families are probably all that they are thinking about.  The victory lap is a cool part of it but if they skipped that I bet it wouldn't take anything away from the celebration for those guys.
