Pretty sure this is not true at all (with respect to the other Ivies) but curious to hear your basis for saying that.

Here's a post from LaxFan listing Cornell seniors in the portal for a fifth year. I had no idea that this is the new reality and I'm truly bummed. I hate the thought of seeing these guys in another uniform. I may just stop following college lacrosse, what's the point?

Cornell
Willem Firth, A, Gr.
Luke Gilmartin, SSDM, Gr.
Ryan Goldstein, A, Gr.
TJ Lamb, SSDM, Gr.
AJ Nikolic, M, Gr.
Sam Ricci, FO, Gr.
Walker Schwartz, LSM, Gr.
Matthew Tully, G, Gr.
Ryan Waldman, M, Gr.

All the top kids are in the portal for a 5th year transfer for next year
they'll be in high demand

Yeah, I've been posting about this for awhile but others told me to stop. The new reality is that we are at a massive disadvantage until grad students become eligible in the Ivy League (probably never).

I agree with you that it is going to become very hard to stomach following college lacrosse as a Cornell fan.

(This is going to nuke us in every other sport also, except specifically men's hockey, where it should only slightly hurt us because the best players go pro before their fifth year.)

Like I've said before, you could try writing to Ivy League ADs, the Ivy commissioner, etc. in support of allowing fifth years to further their education at an Ivy rather than being forced to transfer. It can't hurt (even if technically they don't make the decision).
