How do the refs fuck this up so badly?

Even WITH video review. The homer-ish D announcers even thought it was pretty clear the goal was coming off the board.

Do we EVER win a review decision? (I know we do, but it seems the percentage of reviews that go against us is shockingly small at this point.)

in this day and age where cameras are cheap and replay has been a thing for many years why do they not have a camera down the actual line?

But also didnt the linesman call offsides.

He was offsides by a ft or 2.

Playing these tight games is going to serve them well later on.  This weekend is always tough for them no matter the skill level on either team or the circumstances coming into it.  They had a chance at an immediate clear on the first Dartmouth goal.  They won the face-off but Devlin got handcuffed behind the net and the puck never came out until it was in the net.  I thought Cournoyer tried to make a desperation save on a back door play after that rocket pass.  I don't see him at all as a flopper.  I'll keep my eye on it but I think he has all the makings of a technically sound goalie out of the LeNeveu and Galajda mould.  There are some puck possession decisions that need to get better.  In the second Fegaras (or is it Feragas?) pounced on a puck at the top of the zone and had two wingers flying but instead of an outlet pass he flipped it up on the backhand for a loss of possession.  They could have had a three on two.  Then later in the second Wallace got the puck in the slot at the top of the circles but instead of going forward he dropped it back to two Dartmouth players for another turnover.  The power play got a bit too perimeter-y again.  The Dartmouth kill had something to do with it but Cornell was moving a lot less and looking to go down low less.  Not as much shoot off the pass either. I saw a handful of guys try to collect the puck only to allow Dartmouth to recover into blocking position.  I don't think Ashton got a similar share of power play time compared to last week.  I have appreciated his intent to focus on getting the puck to the net as opposed to waiting for the seas to part.  Good call on Major not being out there.  On the six on four they had three forwards and three D with one of the forwards being Wallace.  Hopefully it's not a "developing situation" with Major. Road splits are acceptable as long as they take care of business at home.  I'm looking forward to getting back to Lynah with this feast or famine schedule.

I think the ref rules that the kid was offsides but no one touches the puck and he gets back onsides?

Haven't seen or heard about him in a while
Major skated to the locker room during a tv timeout.  Didn't appear to be injured and the trainer did not accompany him.  I want to say it was early in the 2nd.  Did not see him for the rest of the game.

Maybe he ate at a Pizza Hut nearby?

Pizza Hut is a reference to a team meal gone bad in the north country before you were born.

I think a month ago. Or even two weeks ago, most would have signed for a 2-2 record coming home with a young team and new head coach. They've looked better than 2-2 on the ice so the record feels slightly disappointing. Take care of business at home against yale and brown, who both have Q trouble last week.

The next player to touch the puck was from Dartmouth and then it hit Kraft's stick, so that's a non-issue. Lynch and his crew just failed to overturn what was quite clearly offside.

Looks like the player originally in the zone before the puck reached back with his skate to try and tag up and may have done so before the second Dartmouth player touched the puck? Or it may have been impossible to tell whether he was successful in doing so on the replay which would have prevented the referee's from overturning the original call.

Oh... if there's more to the story than "they had Pizza Hut and got sick" I'm all ears.
