Quote from: Give My Regards on March 01, 2026, 12:34:05 PMQuinnipiac's four goals against Harvard last night put their ECAC total at 102.  Q becomes the first team with 100 goals in league play since St. Lawrence did it in the 1996-97 season.

Their 3rd Best Offense in the last 4 seasons.  However, order has been restored to the universe.

Can you easily display both side by side to see how many times a team has done both in the same season?

Eyeballing it, Cornell in the late 60's-1970 and 2002. Q recently, RPI mid 1980's, Harvard 1989.

I'd love to see that with notation on national titles won, since there's obvious correlation.

As... you... wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish.

An added gift: note the one man to achieve the double yet lose the NCAA title to another ECAC team.

Very cool to see the progression leading up to each national title. The only one that comes out of the blue is BU in 1971, but that's because their lead up was overshadowed by Cornell's domination.

Are we the only place that doesn't do any goal horn or light show these days?

Brown is the only other place I can think of, but I doubt those would improve the atmosphere there anyway

I heard they're planning to start using goal horns and light shows as soon as they start scoring goals.

Presumably, play resumed with a face-off. There should be some mechanism for UConn to get possession of the puck in that scenario.

Great news for BC haters.

Also, that brings Denver up to 7th in the NPI, somehow.

The more Penn State chokes the better for us.

I just saw a bracket prediction that had us playing Denver in first round in Colorado, where Michigan is No. 1 seed. Not a great draw if it pans out!

Aye, but that's got Denver at 8. If Denver is at 7 and we stay at 9, we draw PSU, the 1 seed, and the AHA autobid, and are presumably mobile.

Maybe.

If Denver is 7 and Duluth is 10, they can't play each other in the first round (same conference)  So they might swap us and Duluth and we still end up in Colorado.

Of course, they could always swap #10 Duluth and #11 Dartmouth (since Dartmouth can't play Q in the 1st round) and leave us in Albany to help attendance.

Who really knows how the committee thinks?

upprdeck

and again of the AD was doing the work, they would have hosted Albany Buff or something during this run to get us a favorable draw just one time we got in that was a done deal.

Much smaller schools have hosted and gotten it done.
