2025-26 Incoming Freshman and Transfers

Cournoyer's great start has me checking the Canadiens' goalie pipeline. Fortunately there's a pretty significant logjam, including Jacob Fowler topping their goalie prospects. Unfortunately that doesn't necessarily mean Cournoyer is safe for a few years given that another team could trade for him (or a goalie ahead of him in Montreal's pipeline). Cournoyer turns 20 next month and was drafted last year as an over-ager. I'm not expecting we keep him for 4 years but 3 seems like a good outcome at this point. Of course, it remains to be seen if he can keep this up.
