Lynah Love

I am throwing this out to Lynah Faithful in hopes to get a little help.  Here is the story.....

My best friend's dad found out about a little girl and her father who lost their mother in the 9/11 attacks.  They are avid hockey fans from New Jersey, so this spring Charlie (my friend's dad), arranged for them to fly to Minnesota to watch the Minnesota Wild play the Devils at the Xcel center (I'm from MN, as is my friend's family)  Unfortunately, the morning before the game my friend's dad died from a sudden heart attack at 53.  He was a wonderful and giving man and a very successful high school hockey coach.  I flew home for the funeral and was able to meet the little girl and her father, and I was struck by the fact that tragedy and sadness once again crossed their paths on a vacation that Charlie had planned for them to be able to get away from it all.  His high school players wore their jerseys to the funeral, but the one that stood out to me was the one that the father wore: with Nieuwendyke printed across the back.  This was when I felt that perhaps there was something I could to do help.

Here is my question for you: I have found two boxed seats for the frozen four at the face value of 250 each.  I would love for them to be able to come to the tournament.  I can most likely set it up for them to meet the Minnesota team and I have a feeling our Big Red would be willing to as well.  Unfortunately, I  cannot foot the entire 500 bill from my college student checking account.  I heard that people made donations for the web cam thing, and was wondering if perhaps we could do something similar here as well.  I am going to go to a few businesses tomorrow to try to get donations, but think it might add a nice touch if the Lynah Faithful were behind it.

Update: I called today and Meghan had her tonsils out this morning, so they will not be able to make it.  Thanks to all of you who responded!  Have fun this weekend!!
