Almost for sure it was written by Brandon Thomas from Athletic Communications. He used to be a sports writer for the IJ and left there to join CU a couple of years ago. Our gain, but no one as good has replaced him at the IJ.

... although the Cornell-written game story notes a major was assessed but not who got it and doesn't explain how Stewart (cited in the first paragraph: "goaltender Hayden Stewart stopped all 15 shots he saw Friday night" ) came to be the goaltender midway through the game. For that, you need The Sun.
Quote from: Zach Silver, Cornell Daily SunSchafer wanted to give his team an energy boost to hopefully turn the game around, and he accomplished this objective by pulling Gillam and putting in backup junior Hayden Stewart.

"[Gillam] wasn't playing very well and wasn't getting the job done," Schafer said. "We needed to not give up anymore and it was an easy decision."

Throughout the preseason, Schafer has made clear that while Gillam holds the upper hand in the starting position, Stewart has been breathing down his neck and any slip up in the senior's game could hand Stewart the starting job.

Gillam didn't seem at the top of his game, particularly on the third goal. It'll be an interesting week of practice and to see who is in net for Dartmouth. I could see him using Stewart, but it's also true that the team seemed to play a lot better in front of Stewart. By no means were the goals all Gillam's fault.
