It sounded like Lenny made a few game-saving saves; it will be interesting to hear what people at the game thought.

Good job just taking care of business.

Congratulations to this team for winning their 50th game over the past 2 seasons!

OSU beats UNO (good for Cornell).

Dartmouth-Colgate going to their second overtime.

He did make alot of good saves.  The two goals were probably the best ones shot by opponents at Lynah all year.  The first was one was a squeezer between his skate and the post, the other one was according to Adam Wodon, "ripped" I dont think any goalie would have been able to see it.  Again, good job on the defensive end.

Truth be told, the first goal was terrible...Lenny did not close his five hole and the puck just slid through ona  shot that was traveling at about the speed of a centipede.  The second goal was an excellent shot, through a screen, top shelf.  But he did save the game with his save in the last 15 seconds on a shot from the point witha  glove save and a beut at that.  Overall a on/off game for Cornell.  The checking line really came out with fire in the second and seemed to carry us for much of the rest of the game.  But the beginning and latter part of the game was not Cornell style hockey...to hesitant and poor passing.

Coulda been worse.  UAF lost to MSU tonight 11-1.

Dartmouth-Colgate going to their third overtime, the longest game in ECAC history (still 29 minutes short of the NCAA mens record and 45 mins short of the NCAA record).

Just got home from the game -  First YEAH TEAM for winning -  Second we had  some real good individual play many - but we did seem rusty and slow starting as a team.   We did  not finish as many opportunities as I thought we could have when we are really sharp...  Several shots high or wide on good chances.   RPI keeper played very big!  and RPi was hustling...  Penalties were about even.  Although Murrays retaliation slash in front of ref was 'not smart' I'm sure he knew it - he seemed more upset at himself for loosing it for a moment than at the RPi player.

Kudos to S. Haynes for superb work mucking in the corners and behind the net he played HUGE.   to the Matt M. - checking line as they really were effective....  Our powerplay except for the 5-3 seemed a bit rusty and they were not moving puck with authority I have seen in some other games.   Murray had at least five wristers from point on PP that we just didnt get the bounce or the right tip on several went just by the net.... Give RPI credit for hustle clogging the middle and in general not allowing us to really set up from the point to often.

RPI's first goal was a slightly slow shift change and 2 skaters coming on but not hustling back with RPI player who was breaking in across blue line - plus their horizontal path out across blue line impeded Mark M.  who was hustling to get back.      A poor ice position by us and the guy goes in and stuffs it slowly thru or under Lenny  -

Their second goal on the power play was pretty and Lenny didn't have much of a chance as we had 3 on 3 on the bench boards in our zone and only one of the defenders in middle with 2 RPI playes there -  RPi dug it out and quick accurate pass to D-man in high slot and he ripped it upper corner -

Other than above goal our penalty kill was Superb!   Baby was a force on the boards and behind the net and on the p. kill!

Here's hoping we pick up the team crispness and the hard skating and tomorrow noght will be ours!  GO Big RED!
