The Dartmouth game on Saturday the 17th will be on Time Warner channel 1 in the Capital District. The prime TW local sports channel (50) will be showing high school football. I think this means no HD here.
"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

The Dartmouth game is also on Time Warner Sports in Ithaca [813 HD]

I guess they're not expecting much of an audience if Billy Jaffe is the best they could manage.

I'm speechless.

Perhaps FSN decided that the NHL wasn't coming back this year? Do they typically broadcast NHL games?

Not that I've seen.  usually it's local sports - college and even high school.

It's not FSN, it's FCS, their dedicated college networks. Basically 3 regional college-only channels. Probably the lowest household penetration for anything actually considered a national network, but I'm not complaining. It's certainly better than nothing.

Here's hoping.

1/4 Cornell at Denver  9:30 ROOT SPORTS

I am not sure how available it is to everyone, but according to College Hockey, Inc it will be available to those even out-of-region with DirectTV or Dish.

Is anyone aware of a place to watch Friday's game against Denver in Ithaca?

Sorry, all we get Fox Sports-wise is the college channels plus a soccer channel.

Cornell @ Denver Friday 1/4 appears to be on DirecTV channel 683 (Root sports) at 9:30 pm EST. That's using a zip code lookup for the NY area, on the DTV site. Loks like 687 in the Boston area. http://www.directv.com/guide

The Friday game is televised, not Saturday (though it would have been tough finding a free TV let alone hearing the game in a sports bar when the Packers-Vikings game is on at 8 pm).

So which is right?

Who's right? Not sure. I relied on Cornell pregame notes http://www.cornellbigred.com/news/2013/1/1/MICE_0101131701.aspx, which said Root TV (via DirectV and Dish) Friday and Denver webcast Saturday. Having seen that, I looked up the channel #s on DTV for NYC [683] and Boston [says 687] for Friday and didn't check DTV for Saturday to see if Cornell's game notes were out of date (ie wrong). Denver's pregame notes are inconclusive about satellite TV for the Saturday game. https://www.nmnathletics.com//pdf8/1068006.pdf?DB_LANG=C&DB_OEM_ID=18600 The Denver multimedia page doesn't show a schedule https://www.nmnathletics.com/PremiumVideo.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=18600  The Denver homepage calendar videocamera icon is blanked out for both Friday and Saturday. Because of the late hour of Friday's game and conflict with football Saturday, if I could do both games from home for $8.95 for streaming, that'd be attractive. Maybe if Brandon Thomas is lurking, he can clarify. Update: The Saturday DTV lineup for channels in the 680s does not show the DU-CU game.

The listings on the Root Sports website say they're showing an NBA game tomorrow night.

According to the ROOTS website, just Friday night's game. Saturday is professional squeakball (but which maybe blacked out on the non-local level due to the NBA's League Pass package). I doubt that they offer "alternative" programming for Saturday night.

Here's hoping the Redcast audio doesn't sound like it is coming Denver Airport's Runaway.
