Did it seem to anyone, that during one of the intermissions, the guys in the front row of the Clarkson band were making a "take your shirt off" gesture to the girls who move the goal for the zamboni???

Eh, go easy on 'em.  I would surmise that you don't get much action when dressed like a subway sandwich artist.

They briefly chanted..."lose the fleece"...frankly, i do not know why ::rolleyes::

Probably because once they got back to Clarkson, who knows how long it'd be before they saw another woman.  :-P

Well, that shows what you know about Clarkson...and Potsdam State crosstown!  :-))

I think you mean "Potsdam College".  SUNY campuses all over the state seem to be going to great lengths to leave their statutory affiliation out of their names (e.g. "Binghamton University").

Yes, this seems to be a fashion trend.  Along with trading in your "College" designation for the supposedly more prestigious "University."

Yep,

Just showing my age I guess.  As for "BU"...as Binghamton University is now called, I'm pretty familiar with their recent campaign to distance themselves from the SUNY affiliation, since Bingo is my hometown.   I can see the reasons and benefits...the school has always been a cut above (maybe several cuts) above the others in the system.  Plus, I got my MS there...:-D

And now there D1 in all sports...or at least most!

I must say, though, that whenever I hear the locals there say "BU", I always think of pucks!  :-D

In 2001 when we came to Lynah we got there really early and there was this girl wearing a vest cleaning the glass.  Being in the state we were in that afternoon we started chanting, "Lose the vest."  Two years later the same girl is there and she has a fleece on this time.

This was my fifth trip to Cornell and I've only seen 1 Clarkson victory.  As much as it pains me to say it, I wish we had that kind of student section in Cheel.

I'd like to watch a game sometime from O or one of the other team bench side sections to see what we look and sound like to someone from across the way.  Pretty impressive I would imagine.  Thanks Brett.  And what you may lack in student sections, you make up for with North Country folk chanting Let's Go Tech over and over and over again...and one damn annoying whistle.

I sat in Section O during J.R. Prestifilipo's final hockey game.  We had the Harvard parents wearing the T-shirts that spelled out "Cornell Sucks", plus the shirtless guys spelling out "We Suck".  Also, J.R.'s mom was there.  It was so much fun being in the vistors section for that game, all the energy being directed towards us.  I recommend the experience for all the Faithful.

I sat in N for the Harvard game in  the 1999-2000 season.  It is a pretty impressive sight to look across at Section B.  I'm pretty sure that game was the first time I heard remote control goalie and, unlike now, it was in very good synch with JR's methodical routine (an older gentleman next to me was laughing at the cheer throughout the whole game).

Adam \'01

Yeah Graham, isn't that the game in which you ducked and covered like a girl when the puck came flying our way?  ::nut::

Tub(a)

I assume that was before "Remote Control Goalie" mutated into "Bend Over Goalie"  ::uhoh::

Tito Short!

Why Adam, I have no idea what you're talking about ;-)
