Gallagher got penalized for shooting the puck on net after play was whistled dead for offsides.

Gallagher shot the puck after the whistle was blown and and so Lange had relaxed. Since Lange had relaxed he could have been injured by a hard shot, hence the unsportsmanlike.

It's not just you. Just one of the many little mistakes they keep on making. The play-by-play guy isn't awful, but he's not very good. Craig Darby is useless.
