Either way, I was getting at the notoriaty surrounding the fans in philly. if I remember correctly (I was young when it happened) they cheered while Michael Irvin lay motionless on the field after an akward head first fall onto the incredibly hard playing surface (asphalt covered with astroturf).[/quote]In the interest of fairness, it should be pointed out that Michael Irvin IS a criminal and a giant asshole

Idk, maybe I am overly touchy about the subject of injured players, but I have always considered injured players to be "untouchable" when it comes to cheers/jeers.

Even though we lost, that series was some of the best hockey I have ever seen from two goalies.  Two amazing games.

Actually the bullshit/ asshole chants go back at least to the late 70's as I recall hearing them both as a much younger Big Red fan.
