I agree, Marr played well and did his part. . .he did everything anyone could have asked him to do. One goal against him and one off one our own guys skate, a very solid effort.  I think we'll see him in net again tomorrow afternoon.

Let's GO Red!!!!

[q]could anyone who was there say that if lenny was in net, we could have maybe won?[/q]

Obviously it's possible...but I don't see any way the loss can be pinned on that factor.

Marr played an excellent game between the pipes.  Maine had a boatload of quality chances and Marr was up to the task all night.  Even on UMaine's 2 goals against him, he can't really be faulted too much.  On the first he made an excellent initial save and just couldn't handle the rebound that came right back to Lawson.  And Maine's 2nd goal was simply a bad break, bad bounce, bad re-direction off of one of our skates.

Theoretically with Lenny in net the team might have been more aggressive offensively, leading to more goals, but (a) nobody could ask for more from Marr -- he was GREAT in a very difficult situation, and (b) Maine has a damn good defense and weathered the times when Cornell was putting the pressure on, so a wider open offense might not have meant more goals.
