Ford \'94

Not sure if there are other places to get this info but I thought it interesting to look at the plus/minus ratings for the season as compiled by the box scores at colleghockeystats.com

Forwards
Cam +9
Carefoot +8
Kindret +4
Barlow +3
Noulson +3
Pegs +3
McClutch +2
Mugford +2
Kennedy +1
Chris E
Bitz E
Scott E
Sawada -1

Defense
Krantz +8
Gleed +5
OB +5
Glover +5
Sasha +3
Davenport +3
Salmela E
Seminoff -1

The thing that surprised me the most is Ryan Kindret...He seems to not hurt this team whenever he cracks the lineup and has scored some goals.  Seminoff is an enigma to me.  He has taken 35 penalties this year and appears lost at times but then there are stretches of games when he is arguably the best defensemen we have.  One other thing, it goes to show you how good Cam and Carefoot are at their roles on this team, Cam will be missed

That's almost the exact opposite of what I would've expected...

At the very least, I thought the Mugford/Chris/Sawada line has been our best all year.

Then again, they do beat people up real well, and that doesn't necessarily come across in plus/minus.

I'm not too surprised by the defense.  Krantz has turned it around this year and has been easily one of our top four defensemen, if not higher.  He's also got more offensive ability, especially in puckhandling, than I originally thought.

+/- should also be taken with a grain of salt.  The Chris Abbott line is still the team's best defensive line and main shutdown line.  Because they go against the opposition's top forwards every night, their plus/minus will in turn suffer.  Krantz doesn't go against the opposition's top forwards because he would get undressed.  That being said, it is still a notable stat and I do agree with you that Krantz has turned it around.

I love Kindret, but unfortunately the first RPI goal on Friday appeared to be the result of a pass he couldn't handle.
