David McKee is one of 18 people nominated for the 2006 Hockey Humanitarian Award:

The site mentions that finalists will be announced on Friday, January 20.

Interesting... anybody know on what basis?  The website and press release don't give specifics.

FWIW, McKee was not picked as one of the 7 finalists.
