Faithful lose a member

I don't know how many, if any, of you knew him, but my friend Kristopher TeWinkle '04 passed away Wednesday evening.  I knew him through the Navy, where he went through ROTC at Cornell then flight school in Pensacola before moving to advanced Hawkeye training in Norfolk, Virginia.  I bonded with him, however, over sports.  Kris was a huge Cornell hockey fan, with season tickets past his senior year (he was "stashed" in Barton Hall while waiting for his flight school class to start), and posted here frequently in the 04-05 season as "puff."  Flight training prevented him from following the team as closely as he would have liked this season, but he was nevertheless my constant hockey buddy in the college hockey wasteland of Pensacola, Florida, a willing road trip partner and a welcome sight in Albany last month.

Kris was a good man. I've known him since I was like 10 and he was a genuine guy and loved the Big Red. He'll be greatly missed. If you need info on funeral/visitation info send me a PM or email thy1

I was a friend of Kris from his 4-H years.  I just learned of his passing.  I am trying to find out what happened to him.  It is important to me because he was such a wonderful, kind, honest and decent person and I am so sad.  He was so young and had so much life ahead of him.  Please tell me what you can.

Hi there,
I was a classmate of Kris's in Pensacola. We went through the preflight indoctrination for 6 weeks, then primary training with VT-4 together for 3 months. I was stunned when I heard of this news, and I was wondering if you could pass along any information you can. I'm presently in San Antonio completing my Navy training here, and there at least 5 guys here that knew Kris and were equally shocked by the news. Any help you can give would be great. My condolences to the family and to all of his friends. Kris was affectionately called T-Wizzy or Twinkle as a call sign. May he rest in peace.
