Hey, since the CIT outage is from 4pm Sat, Sept 24th to 12pm Sun, 25th, what services is it going to affect?

I know it'll definitely affect e-mail, but what about the Cornell Athletic Site?

Does that mean that *if* they announce it tonight, there will be only one medium to hear it from (ie. radio)?

So what are your thoughts that they'll announce it tonight?

On the one hand, they probably should announce it tonight anyways to catch people with their pants off- the most hardcore people listening to their radios in cars on the Bartels parking lot will get best numbers.

On the other, it's pretty unfair, and it leads to either zounds and zounds of drunk people rushing the line (when some idiot shouts it at whatever fraternity is partying tonight) or to nobody hearing about it until way later and the athletic department needing to pay someone to stay there till like 2 handing out numbers.

It's pretty fair to say that today and thursday won't be the days. (B/c if they haven't announced it by wednesday, everyone's gonna be up there thursday afternoon-on. Super bum rush.)

This doesn't mean I won't be up there 9-11:30 tonight either.

Except of course for the fact that the athletics site is hosted by oscn and is still up.
