Chris Heisenberg lists 2 more recruits for Cornell, but they're for 2003.

Kevin McLeod-LW, Camrose (AJHL), 6'2 200, 10-25-84, 54-13-19-32-66
Dan Glover-LD, Camrose (AJHL), 6'2 175 5-4-83, 55-1-10-11-110

Somewhat big players for the lineup :) I'd *assume* that both are physical oriented players, based on their pim and lack of scoring.

I can hear the Lethal Weapon chants already. . .  ::nut::  ::yark::

Of course, they'd make more sense if the guy was actually a sniper. . .   maybe he'll start scoring in bunches in college.  OTOH, making sense was never a prerequisite for a chant.

Kevin McLeod is the youngest player on the Kodiaks.  I'd expect his scoring to improve next season.

McLeod's youth may also explain this answer:

>The person you would most like to spend one hour with is?
>Brittney Spears

In addition, McLeod's junior team lists him at 6'4", 200 lbs.  When he arrives on campus in seventeen months, his size should be similar to Stephen Baby's when he was a freshman.

You can guess from their hobbies, which class of 2007 player is from Calgary and who is from Delburne, AB.  McLeod's hobbies are waterskiing, watching tv, and relaxing.  Glover's are fishing and hunting.

The class coming in 2003 will have many big skates (literally and figuratively) to fill.

I dunno, Hornby's a pretty lethal weapon, and it ain't for his soft hands.

YES!!!! If Baby can't skate, and Murray can't skate... We need more non-skating types of guys!

And yes, class of 2003 is going to replace some big shoes. That's got to be the most talented recruiting class since the golden years.

BTW, check out the Camrose PIM stats.  That whole league is whacked (in the Tonya Harding sense), but anytime you have 2 guys total nearly 1000 PIMs in a short season...

QuoteThe iron league, huh?  A lot of fighting up there?

Hornby's got some pretty good scoring moves, but I definitely see your point, Age.  Opposing teams probably don't fear #16 for his scoring touch. . .

Good god, it won't be long until the players will have been born after I was *graduated*.

You should just feel lucky when it does happen. After all, the alternative is not good.

Was just looking at the BC recruits and saw:

Joe Rooney-LW (1/12/01) St.Sebastians 5'9 170 9-15-85 For 2004 (trying to accelerate schooling to 2003)

Can someone tell me how the hell a school can get a guy to commit TWO years in advance??? 2004???

Tom Hamill \'85

Got to love it when players are thinking two years ahead of time that they want to commit to Cornell.  That bodes well for the program. Maybe a certain Yalie would like to file transfer papers, Mr. 'iggins?
