Saw someone Friday on Walnut St. by the Penn campus wearing a T-shirt that said "Harvard - Cornell 1995 Lynah Rink".
I was just leaving Philly driving to NYC, and couldn't stop and ask who he was, but since Harvard doesn't have hockey fans, I assume it was one of the Faithful.

That's the one with the bear breaking the stick over its head, right?  From Schafer's first game against the Crimson as head coach, when we finally broke the RS winless streak, Chartrand had a hat trick, Eddy Skazyk finished off a four-point weekend, and the students went over the glass?  I wish I had one of those shirts, but we were in Section J or something like that, and only students were getting them.

Or was it a shirt from the infamous "fish goal" game?  ::uhoh::

I just ran into someone who said he was CU '03, on the metro in Rome on Monday.  He was wearing a Frozen Four T-shirt from Buffalo.  I was in a Lake Placid T-shirt from '97.

We're everywhere.

Yep, but it isn't a bear; it's a cartoony, toothless hockey player.  And the stick says "Harvard."  It's from November 11, 1995.  A great day.

Nope.  That was the previous season.  I still remember the Sun personal that appeared the following week: "To the idiot in Section D: EVERYBODY HATES YOU."  But that was back when people still sent personals and everyone read them.

The Sun personals aren't a big deal any more?  What's the world coming to?

BTW, I met a girl at the 1995 Denver Cup who had tickets in Section D, and she swore the fish came from E...
