So, I've been watching a little too much of the diyNetwork these days...and there's a robot competition between Princeton and Union where they have to build robots to shoot pucks at goals and robots to defend the goals... It's on right now (7pm)
Wouldn't it be a little more productive if they (especially Princeton) worked on scoring goals and defense with their players instead of building robots?

Then on today's show, three robots from North Dakota turned pro. Cornell's robots fared well but lost in the semis. Cornell fan robot were voted loudest, most creative, and the five with G-O R-E-D in metallic paint on their navels were hit on repeatedly by drunken robots from Harvard but they, just like their team, were unable to score.

Maine recruited cyborgs rather than robots, but hid it until the IEEE investigated.

I bet Cornell's Robocup team could kick their hockey teams' butts -four world championships in the five times they entered the competition...
