New Princeton Coach

Guy Gadowsky, the head coach at Alaska-Fairbanks, was named the new head coach at Princeton today. Gadowsky has compiled 68-89-22 record in five seasons at UAF. He takes over for Len Quesnelle and beats out several that had also interviewed for the position. Those names included Stan Moore of Colgate, Rand Pecknold of Quinnipiac, Bill Gilligan of Massachusetts, Dave Peters of Dartmouth and Bill Beaney of Middlebury.

Wow, if he can get Princeton's record to 44%, that would be some accomplishment!

Princeton can be a nice way station en route to the big time. Low expectations and if you exceed them, you're a candidate to move up in two to five years. Good luck, Guy.

Low expectations: A quick count shows that since the war (World War II), Princeton has had a half-dozen winning seasons.
