I assume I have the same source as O.S.B...

The poll was published in "American Hockey" magazine - in an article mostly about U of Michigan's Yost Arena.

The poll is "an informal poll taken by American Hockey Magazine of college coaches, players and USA Hockey staff members..."

Scientific, huh?

Full list....

1   University of Michigan
2   Cornell
3   Maine
4   UNH
5   ND (old rink)
6   Minnesota
     ND (new rink)
     BU
9   Wisconsin
10 N Michigan
11 Denver
12 RPI
     MSU

Maybe it's the gratuitous profanity at Yost that gives them the slight edge.  ::nut::

So why do they bother to rank ND's "old" rink???   ::screwy::

O.S.B.

instead of the curses they replaces the words with stink, and yea AHM was my "source"

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!

RIP (Houston Field House AKA The Morgue - TM) is voted #12 because the fans as so quiet that the opposing teams find themselves drifting off to la la land rather than playing the game?

::screwy::

"When we came off, [Bitz] said, 'Thank God you scored that goal,'" Moulson said. "He would've killed me if I didn't."

Yeah, I hear ya on that one.  It has a nice mini-arena feel but hardest place to play?  Maybe it's because of their cowbell   ::nut::

I'm surprised Clarkson isn't ranked on that list...after all, one could go deaf there quite easily... ::nut::

Is next year here yet?

I was just reading these articles today.  I think the discussion in broken up into two articles (I'll have to check when I get home), but one is about Yost, and the other is about college rinks in general.  Both mention Cornell in the main text as well.  They give Cornell the credit for educating the Michigan fans back in the 1990 NCAAs.  However, I find it annoying that they devote a page describing "Michigan's" cheers.  If they are going to give us the credit for being the originals, they should properly title their cheer guide.

Hope not.  It was the 1991 NCAAs.
