the polls are irrelevant, but i am pissed that unh didn't even drop a spot after losing to slu. where's the respect?

Keith K \'93

Actually, not penalizing UNH for a loss to SLU shows respect for SLU.  You don't penalize a team overly for a tough loss against a good team.

Actually I think it has more to do with the question - who would you put ahead of UNH?

Chris 02

So now the Estero tournament has #3 Maine, #11 OSU, #15 CU, and unranked Notre Dame.  (assuming we don't slide out of the polls while idle).

Not quite the tournament it was several weeks ago, but still pretty darn good.

Gee, shouldn't we be higher then? From the USCHO front page:
[q]Cornell gave the ECAC three ranked teams once more, reentering at No. 15 after two wins, including one over archrival Harvard.[/q]

This is the same editorial staff that gave you the option of a "goaltender's dual" [sic] in their own poll this week.

Of course you could just drop a line to the editorial staff as a head's up instead of mocking it, though I realize that's not nearly as entertaining. ... I'm happy to say I was not responsible for either gaffe, though if I don't make at least a couple mistakes a week, it's an upset.

It seems like the agreement between polls has been stronger this season than typical (just my impression, no actual effort was put into trying to verify this :-P ).

I tried, Adam, but ironically, the "Contact Us" page isn't working properly.  No matter which recipient I choose, it returns an "Invalid To: field in message.  Try again." error.

(I did later just send an e-mail, copying webmaster, editor, and info.)
