There's like 25 people who vote and I'm just one of them - so I can only speak for me. But, for example, I have a guy like Oliver Auyeung-Ashton ahead of Cournoyer. He plays on just about the worst team in college hockey. He's 2-12 with a GAA of 2.78. Both of which are bad, but totally meaningless - or should be. His save percentage is better than Cournoyer's and his xGA+ is WAY higher despite playing three fewer games. I've also seen the kid play, and he's kinda ridiculous.  But I'd say 20+ of the voters completely ignored him. He's better than Croteau and Spunar too.

Spunar (NoDak) had a shutout last night ... 12 saves. He's 15-3 with a 1.66 GAA. And Auyeung-Ashton still has a higher save percentage than him.

That makes a lot of sense! When I pulled up the goalie stats, Auyeung-Ashton's were genuinely mindboggling, lmao, enough that I remembered the kid. A fucking .927 on that team?
