Well after those multiple quotes in the 'Ticketgate' section of the 10/23 USCHO weekly update, I just wanted to let people know how the Cornell Club is handling tickets this year after being severely limited by Harvard in numbers of tickets.  We can only offer 2 tickets to each member and while I wanted to do first orders postmarked, first served on a set date in November, I've been overruled to the point that I'm not even the RSVP contact anymore.

The Cornell Club just launched it's new website and with e-commerce for all events still a few weeks away, it's a print and mail check system for a bit longer.  If you go to www.cornellclub.org, click on upcoming events and go to November 24th, you can print off a copy of our flyer.  That's the deadline for order submissions for the lottery that we are now using.  Thus no orders are guaranteed and like any drawing odds of winning (I can't believe it's come to this) depend on the number of entries.  Keep that in mind when deciding whether to become a member of the club or not for the purposes of this game.   Also membership is limited to Cornell alumni, staff and parents of students.

If you have questions, use the contact information on the flyer especially if you're unsure of your membership status for this event.

As for the reception before the game, that's not currently available for order as the vast majority of attendees have usually bought their tickets through us and our block may not support such a gathering and various options are being considered for what to do.

Tom, do you know if Cornell Club of Cape Cod members will still be treated as "members" for this lottery?

Why give Harvard the revenue from a pre-game reception after they screwed you (and all of us) over for tickets?  Let's just pack into John Harvard's starting in the afternoon and enjoy the pre-game festivities there.

Al, I'll bring the question up at our meeting tonight.  I would assume yes but I've thrown all assumptions out this year.

Throwing out all assumptions seems like the appropriate thing to do this year, Tom.  Yikes.  I've printed out the form but there's no point in sending a check if I'm an auslander.  As much as the game itself, I'll miss your pre-game bash.
